Isometric Chess

About
Isometric Chess is a challenging chess variant that expands the game into the third dimension in a unique way.
Play on a board made up of 64 cubes, each with three visible sides that represent a square in one of three dimensions.
Using orthographic projection, you can switch out of the isometric view to see a flattened version of each dimension to make better sense of how the pieces move. A piece's legal moves are first determined by their current dimension in isolation, based on the standard rules of chess. Then, any empty squares that share a cube with one of the current dimension's legal moves are added to the list.
Kings can not switch dimensions while in check, and you win by checkmating the king.
